Accelerated Masters Program
This program is open to students who earn a B.S. or B.A. degree in computer and information science at the University of Oregon and are considering entering the master's degree program.
A student may petition the department to have up to 8 credits of 400-level CIS coursework count toward the elective credit requirements of the Masters degree requirements under the following conditions:
- the 400-level CIS course must have a 500-level split section
- the student earned a letter grade of A- or better in the 400-level course
- the student has an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher in upper-division CIS courses
Note that all admission procedures, as outlined in the Master’s Degree Program section, are also applicable. Applications are available in the department office.
Even if you plan to postpone graduate school for one or more years, this application should be on file with the Graduate Coordinator.
