Commencement 2021

Congratulations, 2021 Computer Science and MACS Graduates!  Although there will not be any in-person CIS departmental ceremony this year, there are several options for our students to participate!

Campus Wide Event

The Main Virtual Commencement Ceremony for the entire campus takes place on Saturday, June 12, 2021, 9:00–10:00 a.m. via live webcast on the Commencement Webpage. There are two in-person activities being added to this year’s commencement day - the Grad Parade, followed by a livestreamed Stage Procession. Both activities will be outdoors and will be for graduates only.  The Grad Parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. PDT. Graduates will check in and then line up on 13th Avenue in front of Matthew Knight Arena no earlier than 11:30 a.m. At approximately 12:30 p.m., graduates will parade west on 13th Avenue, crossing Agate Street and continuing through campus toward the Memorial Quad. Immediately following the Grad Parade, graduates will then proceed to a designated area on the Quad where they will cross a stage as their names are read aloud, and then have their photo taken.

Departmental Event

The CIS Department will host a zoom graduation open house for graduates and their families from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12.  Please plan to stop by so we can congratulate you!  There will be multiple Zoom rooms where you can come and go as you please.  Please join us here:  Graduation Virtual Open House!
