A team of 10 UO students competed in the Black Rock Desert for this summer's ARLISS student rocketry and design competition.
"These students worked hard to develop, test, and run the challenge with a robot of their own design. They worked long hours, put up with nasty dust storms, and competed against some of the top engineering schools in the world."
--Dean Walton (UOregon ARLIS Team Coordinator and L I Lokey Science & Technology Outreach Librarian)
The hard work paid off with a successful launch to 12,000 feet, ejection, decent by parachute, and landing. Congratulations to Linshu, Alonzo, Chase, Daniel, Derick, Jake, Miguel, Noah, Luyao, and Zach!
